Want to save time when building a hall?
STABILIX R in action: one visit, three projects and a wealth of practical knowledge
Three completed halls, three different requirements – and one common connection solution. Together with Gaass Florian GmbH from Grainet, we took a look at three completed projects in which STABILIX R was successfully used: a curling hall, a car workshop and a bus company’s depot.
Different buildings, different uses – yet one common conclusion: STABILIX R impresses with its ease of installation, high efficiency and visually appealing design.
The bracket connection
The STABILIX R makes it simple and efficient to create rigid frame corners in timber construction. Instead of complex solutions involving dowel circles or slotted plates, a prefabricated glulam brace is used, which is connected by means of fully threaded screws to ensure a force-fit connection.
Thanks to CNC-machined drill holes, the number, position and direction of the screws are precisely specified. This significantly simplifies assembly and reduces the likelihood of errors to a minimum. Once the bracket is positioned, it is, quite literally, a case of ‘screw it in and you’re done’.
The projects we visited in particular demonstrated just how well this principle works in practice. The connections impress with their neat finish and high-quality appearance. At the same time, this well-designed system solution enables efficient installation and helps to save valuable working time and costs.
A solution that delivers in practice
For Johannes Gaass, alongside technical quality, the key factors are the benefits in day-to-day implementation: ease of installation, a high degree of reliability in execution and an impressive appearance.
It is precisely this combination that makes STABILIX R an attractive solution for modern timber hall constructions. After all, good products demonstrate their true value not only in the planning stage, but above all in completed projects.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Gaass Florian GmbH for this fascinating insight into the three successful reference projects and look forward to many more hall construction projects where the mesh-and-strap system can demonstrate its strengths.
