The IdeFix system family
IdeFix IFD
The “standard” IdeFix has proven itself in timber construction for over 20 years. The static values for tensile and shear forces are new. By taking into account the suspension effect according to Johansen, the characteristic values are now approx. 20% higher than they were before 2025. The assumptions made at the time during the approval process were too conservative. The IdeFix IF 410, for example, has been improved from 45.60 to 54.60 kN in terms of tensile strength.

Note on type designation
The first digit always indicates the diameter of the IdeFix in cm, the next two digits indicate the screw length in cm. The IdeFix IF 410 therefore has a diameter of 4 cm and comes with screws that are 100 mm long.

IdeFix IFD
The IdeFix IFD has a second screw ring and therefore has 16 screws instead of 8. This gives it significantly better tensile load values (up to 104 kN characteristic).

Idefix DWD
The IdeFix DWD connects solid wood elements in parallel and across corners with three-dimensional load transfer. It is installed flush with the element joint and creates a shear-resistant connection. Applications include wall joints, ceiling joints, and corner connections. The IdeFix DWD is available in diameters of 30 and 40 mm. A pressure cap (metric countersunk screw) ensures that the screws can be subjected to pressure evenly.

IdeFix IFK
The IdeFix IFK combines wood with steel components and can transfer very high loads. It is available in two diameters with connections for M 12 and M 16.

IdeFix for service class 3
A new feature is the option of using the IdeFix IF in service class 3 (exposed to the elements). Stainless screws are included for this application. Design values available on request at bemessung@sihga.com.
