In addition, he will focus on hybrid product development, the further gradual internationalization of the company, and investments in vertical integration. With the handover of management, SIHGA remains in family hands. Founded in 2003 by Jane-Beryl Simmer in Gmunden, Upper Austria, the company has since established itself as a leading supplier of innovative fastening technology for timber construction. The majority of the products are developed in-house and protected by a total of 347 property rights and patents. SIHGA also attaches great importance to quality and regionality: around 80 percent of the product range is manufactured in Austria and Germany. The company also weathered the construction crisis well thanks to well-thought-out budget planning. Marc Simmer grew up with the company. After studying at the Montanuniversität Leoben and the University of St. Gallen, he first founded a venture capital start-up in Berlin before returning to his home town to join SIHGA. In his new role, Marc Simmer is supported by the two authorized signatories Mst. Johann Gruber and Stefan Pirker.
