At SIHGA®, we joined forces to realize a project that goes far beyond a conventional construction project: a carport with a spacious terrace was planned, designed, and built entirely by our employees — as functional sun protection, shelter for our electric charging stations, and a new feel-good area for our team and our customers at our location in Ohlsdorf near Gmunden.

Although SIHGA® GmbH is not a traditional craft business, our team has a wealth of craftsmanship at its disposal: many of our employees are trained carpenters and have practical experience in timber construction. They normally contribute this expertise to the development of our fasteners – but in this project, they brought it directly to the construction site.

The starting point was a very practical problem: our packaging in the basement was exposed to strong sunlight, and our e-charging stations also needed to be better protected from the weather in future. At the same time, the idea arose to create an additional outdoor lounge area – for creative meetings, relaxed breaks or quick chats in between. Three challenges – one joint solution.

Solemnly inaugurated

In September 2025, the time had come. During the topping-out ceremony, the completion of the carport, the accident-free construction process, and the collaboration of everyone involved were celebrated.
