connections of timber beams to concrete

WabaFix

for wall/beam connections, corner connections in wooden walls , partition wall mounting, wooden plate ceiling mounting.

  • universal heavy-duty connection up to 94.72 kN per fastening point (with wood-wood connection).
  • Beam and wall connections, ceiling joists and wall elements are easily attached with it.
  • load absorption without the risk of slippage during installation – unlike hook-on connectors.
  • Can be arranged in multiple layers.
  • Can be screwed with the self-drilling, fully threaded screw GoFix® S+ to bear static loads in four directions.
  • Can be fastened to concrete with BeziFix® anchors measuring 7.5 mm.
  • Available in two sizes.
  • WabaFix® can be easily dismantled.
  • Developed, patented and manufactured in Austria.
  • Made of aluminum and monitored during production.
  • Design values at www.sihga.com

SIHGA® will do the calculations for you. Please direct all questions to bemessung@sihga.com

New:

  • The screw lengths can be selected differently. This allows you to optimize the connection performance for your project.
  • A verifiable and auditable calculation model from Graz University of Technology is available for download: https://www.sihga.com/en/service/online-measurements/
  • 6 different types of loading can be depicted according to the calculation model, including connections with flexible bearings.
  • The calculation model also allows for the verification of inclined beam connections.
  • For concrete connections, the SIHGA design program Jointplan also offers the possibility to design for seismic loads. Jointplan is available free of charge at https://www.sihga.com/en/service/online-measurements/ in the “S³ STATICS Software” package.
  • WabaFix will soon receive a CE marking.

HobaFix Max

Connectors for main and secondary beam constructions.

The thread-cutting locking screws distribute the load equally over the entire connector height and fix the position of the two beams in relation to each other at the time of screwing . This allows an installation tolerance in the insertion direction of +/- 8 mm.

Timber-timber or timber-concrete connections are possible with HobaFix® Max.

  • The GoFix S+ self-drilling fully threaded screw is inserted into the end grain at two angles in the timber beam to be connected.
  • The BeziFix anchor 7.5 x 80 without a dowel is used on the concrete side.
  • For timber-to-timber connections, the GoFix HK fully threaded screw is used in the main beam or timber wall.
  • The fastening screws are offset and screw collisions are avoided.

  • Multiple node connections of e.g.: four beams on one column can be realized.
  • Thanks to the ingenious coupling of the connectors using thread-cutting screws, several connectors can also be mounted next to and on top of each other.
  • The practical geometry of the connector allows length tolerances of the secondary beam of up to 3 mm to be accommodated (with connector arrangement on both sides).

  • Can withstand high static loads in four load cases, up to 81.73 kN characteristic per connection (for timber-timber connection).
  • Can be used for horizontal, vertical, tensile and moment loads with high tested static values.
  • All required screws are always supplied by SIHGA.
  • Available in 9 lengths, the width is always the same at 57 mm.

  • Excellent price-performance ratio.
  • All connector sizes can be fitted with just one template.
  • Developed, patented and manufactured in Austria.
  • ETA-23/0821
